A retired and disabled Army Veteran from Queens, New York, Myisha’s design was inspired by her commitment to representing all who have served. “As a Veteran, I’ve often felt underrepresented, which led me to think about how to best incorporate inclusivity and the core values of loyalty and service,” she explained. “I ultimately chose to capture the collective experience of service members—past, present, and future—by including symbols such as the American Flag, military dog tags, and the resilient spirit of Veterans, depicted through a solid, dark concrete background in my design.”
The Veterans Day poster will be showcased in VA facilities, military installations, and municipal buildings across the United States. It will also grace the cover of the official program for the Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on November 11.
We extend our gratitude to all who used their creativity to honor our Veterans. We invite you to participate in the 2025 Veterans Day competition, and we look forward to seeing your future artistic contributions.
