Just in time for football season, Wendy’s is introducing an enticing new addition to their menu: the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger. This novel burger features Wendy’s signature square beef patty, covered in a rich poblano queso, zesty chipotle sauce, crispy tortilla strips, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese, all sandwiched between a jalapeño cheddar bun.
According to Jay Drumm, Wendy’s manager of culinary innovation, the burger took over two years to develop, aiming to encapsulate the nacho platter experience in a single bite.
Drumm describes the burger’s spiciness as moderate, rating it a six on a spice scale of ten, making it a flavorful yet accessible option.
For those who prefer poultry, the Loaded Nacho Chicken Sandwich is available with all the same vibrant toppings. Additionally, Wendy’s is rolling out new Queso Fries, which consist of their classic fries topped with fresh cheddar and the same savory poblano queso. John Li, Wendy’s global vice president of culinary innovation, mentioned that these loaded fries perfectly complement the new sandwich options, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger is priced at $7.59, while the Queso Fries are available for $3.99, though prices may vary by location. You can check out the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger, Loaded Nacho Chicken Sandwich, and Queso Fries directly at Wendy’s.
In addition to these mouthwatering offerings, Wendy’s has also introduced new English muffin breakfast sandwiches. These breakfast items feature a fresh-cracked egg, melted American cheese, and a choice of either Applewood smoked bacon or a grilled sausage patty, all served on a buttery English muffin with a touch of brown sugar and black pepper. This follows the recent launch of Wendy’s Frosty Cream Cold Brew in chocolate, vanilla, or caramel flavors, blending cold brew coffee with Frosty creamer for a refreshing beverage option.
